S - specific, significant, stretching
What exactly: a cultural and art platform in an old colonial building where there is a
- an exhibition space
- residencies for artists
- workshops (ceramic, and wood)
- cinema
- a shop and a organic restaurant
Significant
To have a public platform for art where artist from Curacao, the Caribbean and around the world can stay for a working period of 40 days. There is only 1 other artist-in-residency on the island. This is Instituto Buena Bista that puts the emphasis on helping young talent find their way in the art world. This platform is more focused on the interaction of Caribbean artist and other artists abroad.
To have a gallery where the arts are exhibited.
